Just 90 miles south of San Diego in Ensenada, Mexico the agricultural areas surrounding Ensenada are characterized by breath-taking beauty, and desperate poverty. We are just a group of individuals trying to make a small impact for good.
This area represents hope and a new life for waves of field workers arriving from Southern Mexico and other regions of Latin America. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of adequate lodging and many hard working families are forced to live in sub-standard dwellings that are unhealthy and unsafe.

Home Build

What would be basic items for most of us are luxury items for these families. The home build includes a concrete floor. Solar panel powering two electrical outlets and lights in each room. Fresh water tank to store delivered clean water.
Furniture & Clothing
$3,000
We make sure to provide the basics with furniture and clothing. Each family works hard and just needs a helping hand to get started. The home is given a small refrigerator and stove.
Baja Charities

While we are building the home there are three main charities in the neighbourhood that we try and help out by providing food and supplies. One of the programs helps children receive education rather than working in the fields at a young age.
About Baja Bound
We partner with Baja Bound to be part of the home building experience. Baja Bound began in 1993 when a group of friends in San Diego had a vision to change lives south of the border. Over the years Baja Bound has worked in the Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada areas.
In 2004 we became aware of the dramatic needs of the immigrant communities traveling north to work in the agricultural fields of Baja. We stumbled across a magnificent plan to build an incredible home quickly and affordably; the rest is history. We are happy to host churches, schools, businesses, families, community organizations or groups of friends to build a home for the working poor of Baja.
